COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Beyond the responsibilities that I carry in my work life, there is also a social responsibility that comes with being an artist. Being able to use my skills as a designer for the good of the community I call home is just as important as the work I do in my career.
OUT FOR ORLANDO
In the week following the tragic event that took place at Pulse Night Club on June 12th of 2016, I was moved to action. Leaning on my knowledge of screen printing and design, I came up with Out For Orlando as a way to make even a small donation towards helping the city heal.
Within hours of posting a test print on social media, dozens of orders began pouring in. I reached out to other artists and friends to help me work through the surge in orders. Together we were able to generate a community-funded donation of $1087 to the Pulse Victims Fund.
ORLANDO RUCKUS
The Orlando City Soccer Club has become an integral part of The City Beautiful’s culture. As a new member of the team's Ruckus supporters group in 2017, I created chant cards to help other newbies learn the chants that fill the stadium and make Orlando one of the premier soccer destinations in the United States. Through collaboration within the supporters group and sign-off from leadership, I was able to design, print, and distribute cards for game days that both new members and veteran supports could find useful.
